Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach, a Hilton Resort & Spa, presents numerous special events that are not to be missed during each season, so stay tuned to our events calendar and these Happenings pages for what's coming up. Always happening at Chandler's Oceanfront Dining is live music every Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM with a sunset vibe. Chandler's is also the place to be on the coast with daily Happy Hour specials from 4:00-6:00 PM.

Holiday Open House & Tree Lighting

Join us on Thursday, December 5th for the holiday event on the coast you won't want to miss. We invite our community and neighbors to this complimentary holiday party around the pool at Cape Rey from 5:30pm-8:00pm.

We'll start the celebration with a Tree Lighting at 5:30pm sharp, then you can stroll the Kris Kringle Market, get family photos with Santa and catch the performances by Carlsbad High School bands and Holiday Carolers, throughout the evening.

Our cabanas will turn into Santa's workshops with art and crafts and cookie decorating for the kids, young and old. Be sure to enjoy some complimentary cocoa, cider and holiday treats on us as you mix and mingle your way through this fun and festive event with your neighbors, family and friends.

Make sure you stop in to Chandler's for a holiday toast or bite to eat, since a portion of the proceeds at Chandler's Oceanfront Dining will be donated to the Carlsbad Education Foundation providing opportunities to students in the Carlsbad Unified School District, as our way of giving back this holiday season.

Three amazing culinary experiences have been curated to celebrate Thanksgiving on the coast at Chandler's. Treat the family to a simple Breakfast Buffet from 7:00am-10:00am after putting your own turkey in the oven, enjoy a Bountiful, Beautiful Brunch Buffet from 11:30am-3:30pm, or spend the evening at an amazing three-course, prix fixe dinner you curate yourself, from 5:00pm-8:00pm, with your choice of starter, entrée and dessert.
